Marston's Beer Company, brewer of cult beer Hobgoblin - one of Britain's fastest growing premium cask beers - has unveiled a new handpull at this year's GBBF to attract the growing breed of new drinkers to cask beers - An extra 400,000 people switched from lager and cider to cask beer in Britain last year.

The new Angram handpull has a 'longbow' design that creates greater stand out & a point of interest on the bar, whilst still retaining the iconic handpull action. What sets it apart from the traditional handpull is the way the beer is dispensed above the bar to maximise the impact of the cask beer service.

Justin Way, Hobgoblin Marketing Manager, said: "This is not a direct replacement for the existing traditional handpull, but a way to present cask beer in a more contemporary and innovative way that focuses on showcasing the theatre of the serve.

As you'd expect from Hobgoblin, it defies convention and grabs more interest and attention on the bar. It delivers the perfect solution to introduce cask beer to the wider range of venues that are now more capable of serving it, following our introduction of fastcask earlier this year.

Fastcask, launched by Marston's earlier this year, delivers real cask beer that drops bright immediately and is easier to store & handle. This innovation has opened up cask beer to serve in many city bars & venues where small cellars and other operational constraints had previously prevented it.

Marston's have developed the new handpull in partnership with drinks dispense producer Angram, Nigel Farrar, Managing Director of Angram Ltd, said "This new handpull is the culmination of over 2 years development and demonstrates our commitment to being at the forefront of dispense innovation in all drinks categories."
